stressful
It’s been a stressful couple of weeks, final legal questions on the sale of old house, causing stress disrupting sleep. Whilst we frantically get the house ready to receive all the furniture and stuff from old house AND fit out the cabin so son can move straight it at short notice if needed.

In the middle of all this we bought our first new bed (a super king) in 30 years. And put the guest bedroom together properly.

And finally moved my workshop out of the living room

Last week our agent rang to say our purchasers needed to sell their house by the 21st or loose their sale, which ramped up the pressure on us to be physically ready before our purchasers had stopped asking awkward legal questions about old house. Sort of where we were late September last year and exactly the scenario we had said we didn’t want to get into this time.
Thankfully Will our builder has been fantastic keeping the cabin fit out on schedule while we flaffed about unable to concentrate on anything because of the stress.

We started to empty the big furniture from old house last week. It’s very emotional and doubly weird because all the antisocial behaviour has now stopped at old house and it’s been a pleasure to be there again enjoying nature and silence.
And the big fridge that was left in the house died so we had to get a new one.

I totally missed the anniversary of us finding new house in all the excitement and we are only a few weeks away from taking possession a year ago.
Sorry this post is even more disjointed than normal my head is spinning with everything that’s happening. I definitely preferred it when I just had one thing to concentrate on. Hopefully next week that will be the case again, if old house actually sells.
