progress outside

… and more fun discoveries inside.

Thankfully I slept like a log on my new futon. It’s all furry and squishy and nice. It fits the 1970s Porn vibe of the house nicely.

Because there is SO much to do inside D has got some nice people in to start on the outside. Removing the knackered greenhouse, creating a driveway around the car port and making a spot for Bam the campervan. They are also removing the horrible slippery and rotten decking from the back of the house and taking away the old little shed. The shed put up a fight it was exceptionally well built but was just in the wrong spot for us as it’s where our son’s cabin is going.

The guys turned up bright and early and got stuck in having a right laugh with each other as the beavered away.

And they made some great progress.

I on the other hand chipped away a the mirror tiles and took over a hour to get one off.

There must be a better way 🤣 (there is)

I gave up and pulled apart the wardrobe and cupboards in the front bedroom and revealed some more horrible tiling and that they had cut into a large amount of the original tongue and groove which we wanted to preserve.

A guy came out to get rid of the wasps that have moved in to the roof space. It’s proving much easier to find people to “do stuff” than in our old area. That’s a nice change.

To cap things off, I was five minutes late for the fish and chip van so I had to console myself with two big beers from the village shop and a microwaved frozen “meal”.
