Rob’s Blog

mid June update

It’s been a busy and stressful month. Mostly with Will cracking on with getting as much T&G on the wall as he can. While I sit in the garden with the dogs and Donna waxes the wood.

While we also prepared Lock House to sell, to get it on the market just as all the ASB on the lock kicks off over the hot bank holiday weekend.

This happened just before we arrived at our annual “holiday” at Call Of The Wild festival. So we arrived extremely stressed but then finally see the police have issue a Dispersal Notice on the Wednesday and they cleared all the kids off the lock.

So for the first time in 4 years we could relax slightly. And we were able to have a fantastic time, Donna worked merch all weekend and I lazed in van with dogs, drank beer ate fantastic food and saw some awesome bands and old friends.

But thanks to the aggro on the lock we are also now getting ready for another ASB Review by the local authority, which hopefully won’t result in the police and canal company blaming each other for not solving the problems. Getting all the evidence together is rather triggering, and putting all the affects of the situation and stress in writing is so very stressful in itself.

On the plus side the second people to view made an offer we accepted, so solicitors are instructed. They have been made aware of the ASB problems. So fingers crossed we can get the other house sold this year.

A couple of weeks finishing in the main house and we can all start fitting out and decorating the cabin …
