Rob’s Blog

Late July

Almost a month since the last update and progress had been a little more random.

The sale of or old house is progressing and that’s spread our attention as we get ready to clear it out and focused our attention on getting the cabin habitable.

So we’ve cleared some rubbish, finished painting the cabin (save the window frames) and built some steps.

Modified the steps so we don’t lose the pathway to the garage (now storage shed). And then filled them with about a ton of gravel. IMG_1789 IMG_1792 IMG_1794 IMG_1793 IMG_1881 IMG_1892 IMG_1893 IMG_1895

We test fitted a led panel which works quite well visually I think. Had to paint the hanger brackets because they were too white and very visible. IMG_1802 IMG_1803

Will has built the most amazing wardrobe in the master bed from our garbled instructions.

I sanded the cabin bathroom floor with a 125mm random orbital sander which has come up so nicely we’re going to wax the whole floor in there but definitely we’re hiring a big sander for that job!

There have been 101 other things that have got done like prepping windows and frames and the weird vents for painting, fitting new struts to kitchen cupboards, etc etc that go unrecorded. But here’s a photo dump of where we’re at.
