early July progress

Will has been an absolute trouper. Single-handedly he has waxed the inside of the cabin. It is backbreaking work waxing ceilings and he did a large section of it in 30° C heat! IMG_1773 IMG_1774 IMG_1775 IMG_1776 IMG_1777 IMG_1778 IMG_1779

D and I have got the first coat of Matt Black barn paint all over the cabin, so apparently according to the instructions we just have one more there to go and that should be good and water resistant. Obviously then we need to do the main house as well at some point. IMG_1719 IMG_1722 IMG_1724 IMG_1589 IMG_1751 IMG_1752 IMG_1753 IMG_1754 IMG_1756 IMG_1762

Yesterday I mowed the gravel and took out the regrowth from the bush in the middle of the garden so that’s looking much neater again.

And we’ve also trimmed back 1/2 the hedges in the footpath side as it was beginning to block the way. Just another 60 metres to do at some point. But that’s a wider section and I don’t want to disturb the birds.
